What a glorious day we have had!

Mr A had the day off, so we decided a trip somewhere with a beach was in order. A quick look at the gaps on our map led us to Barrow in Furness.

We were in no great rush, so took the scenic (non motorway) route. It was such a nice drive.
Smartie did us proud, with 56.6mpg and was easy to park up being so small!

Barrow was hosting a Pride event when we arrived. There wasn’t a huge turn out (that we saw anyway), but all the shops had made an effort with rainbow displays.

On the way home, we stopped for fish and chips which were absolutely lush, before calling in to see Laura & Steve (& Vincent) who had arrived back from Bali earlier in the day. They were exhausted but glad of the company to try and keep them awake until bedtime. ;-)
