Balancing Job

Job Description:

-Balance along the side of the boat, hanging onto the rope to keep from falling in
-Collect passenger fares, give correct change and tickets
-Jump from boat to pier
-Briefly tie off boat while passengers board and unboard boat (hmmm...I think the English teacher just made up a word, what would be the right word for "to get off the boat"?)
-Keep body mostly covered to protect from the sun and stinky canal water

Besides the nasty splashing canal water, the taxi boats are great. You never have to worry about a traffic jam and there's always something to look at along the canal. :)
