All Finished
I had an easier day today, I only had the windowsill to give a second coat.
Walkies with Bella May and couple of errands in the village then I spent most of the day finishing the curtains. I hemmed them by hand whilst watching a film on the telly.
I’m pleased with the result and it looks and feels so fresh.
I am absolutely knackered and the aching muscles from my fall have been worse today. I’m going to have a lie in tomorrow with coffee in bed.
Frank will be home around lunchtime I think bit could be tea time.
I’m looking forward to seeing him :-)
It’s been a really cold day.
Had a nice long chat with Marc tonight, we put the world to rights and had a good rant. He is in good form just now ;-)
Yesterday’s and today’s poems are below.

Contrast
Whilst I do a bit of decorating,
some amateur interior design,
titivating my living room,
far away, other’s interiors
lie exposed in the rubble
precious belongings
framed photos of loved ones
pages of books, ripped curtains
flapping in the breeze.

Repetitive
If I read the same book over and over
for sixty odd years
or if I watched the same film
every single night
or ate the same food
for every meal
or walked the same route
day in, day out
I may find life boring
But to watch spring unfolding
each year of my life
see the same leaves unfurl
the same plants burst into flower
the same birds visit my garden
the same bees gathering pollen.
the same sun rise in the morning
then set in the evening
the same full moon every month
Well, nature in its repetitiveness
never ceases to fascinate.
Goodnight :-)X
PS: I’ll catch up on your Blips tomorrow.
