The candytuft is blooming! Well, it has been for awhile...but thought I'd try to blip it today.

In case anyone is interested you can go here to find out about a similar explosion to the one in Texas, caused by a fertilizer truck that caught fire and exploded in Roseburg, Oregon. I was 13 in 1959 and at the time I was visiting my aunt in Tillamook. We were not allowed downtown for quite a while, but I remember when we finally got to drive down there to see what happened. It was unreal. Then I returned to California where I lived with my mom and was not around for the recovery work that went on. Also, I don't think I knew that Barry Sarafin, who used to be on ABC had lived in Roseburg. The things I learn. The explosion in Texas certainly brought back the memories of Roseburg to me and to a lot of people who lived there, I'm sure.
