Ancient & Modern
I decided to give my back a few more days to recover so gave golf a miss again this morning. Instead, Tess & I went over to Burnham for a stroll out to the old lighthouse, punctuated with a stop for a breakfast of eggs benedict at Wetherspoon’s.
On the far side of Bridgwater Bay, to the left of the lone fisherman, you can just about make out the nuclear reactor under construction at Hinckley Point. As regulars will know, the lighthouse is a favourite subject of mine.
This afternoon I was allowed to supervise while Tess planted the remaining perennials we’ve bought recently.
