On A Crowded Island

Warm weather brings out the wildlife and in the case of turtles, so many there isn't enough room for them all. They seem to like sunbathing, it's been a long winter and they probably want to soak up the sun and warm up a bit.

This is the same island used by the goose a few weeks ago for her nest. She nibbled all the grass whilst in occupation, but I don't know whether turtles eat grass anyway. I think these are called Painted Turtles on account of their colours. Turtles are a lot easier to photograph than birds in flight!
