Not exactly

the right color.  This dahlia is a very dark burgundy color but I could not get it to be the right color but this is close.  Using a little blur to make it look more watercolory (I made that word up!).  

The dahlias have buds on several of the plants but those that are showing look more like the first one in the purple color.   So far no deer have ventured close to the house to eat them!    

I wanted to do the mono Monday challenge but the dahlia wanted to be the main subject today.    It is in the extra.    Alice through the Looking Glass version.
