Priorwood Garden

A morning walk into Melrose to visit Priorwood Garden. It’s home to a collection of heritage apple trees. The timing of our visit was fortunate as the blossom was in full bloom and we had a warm sunny morning. As I walked I noted over 30 different varieties of apple tree (apparently the garden has over 70). What a wonderful place. In October they hold an apple day at which you can taste and purchase the apples grown in the orchard, along with other local produce.
