Blipmeet at the Pottery
What a fantastic morning we had at Whichford Pottery with Blippers Loosecanon, Technophobe, StevenG, Fitzbilly and Mrs Fitzbilly, ChrispyBox and Mrs ChrispyBox. Excellent cafe garden and covered areas and then the real highlight, watching the pots being handmade and decorated by people with such skill with lots of time to talk to the "customers". It really was brilliant!
The main shot is of the process of shaping the base of a Planter For Roses (Yes, I did buy one!) . It has to be shaped properly so that the roots of the rose are kept out of any water. Most of these pots were destined for Japan but Loosecanon found me one to buy in the pot yard.
In extras you can see one of the decorating rooms (Beautiful tulips), some of the pots for sale and one area of the clay room (I think). So enjoyed it all!
Then we had lunch!
Then Rob and I called in the distillery just down the road and treated ourselves to a little bottle of single malt. What else could a girl want from a day?
Thank you Peter for arranging such a super day.
