Waiting

Out for early walk and pick up paper and croissants, Ruby refused to come again. Bit of a read and then off for a walk with both dogs. Lovely warm weather again.
Message from daughter to say hospital letting them come home at some point today, baby discharged daughter placed on home visit as she has another appointment Tuesday and they are concerned that if they discharge her she could get lost in the system.
So we waited. Had lunch and decided to wander into town so that we could get back quickly. There is a baby shop that I have never been in before and we couldn’t resist popping in and buying a little comforter for baby. Lots of lovely outfits but decided to let daughter decide how she wants to dress him before buying clothes.
Back home decided a G&T was required as warm afternoon and might as well enjoy the wait.
She messaged to say they were on the move, but that was very late afternoon. They got home after 6 and we thought it was nice for them to have their first evening at home as a little family, and daughter said she would like that so we are going tomorrow.
We still have their dog and no mention of when she will go home, hope they haven’t forgotten about her.
