Caravan site at Much Wenlock

We couldn't believe the change in the wind force in the half hour or so it took to drive back from Bridgenorth yesterday. It was such a stormy night that it wasn't just twigs being broken from the trees and landing on the caravan and awning - it was small branches. I think we were awake every hour or so and by 6 am decided to get up and take down the awning and start packing up for the next stage of our holiday. By 7 am the wind had dropped (would you credit it!!!). We dozed until about 10 and then left for our rather windy (but not gales) journey to Chester where we have arrived safely. It is many years since we have been in this area so we are looking forward to revisitng and exploring Cheshire and of course taking the ferry across the Mersey.
