Better out than in...

Veg plot acquires more carpet  coverage  (as weed supressant in the areas that are too daunting to tackle any other way.)

It's true that damp rugs can provide cosy homes for slugs and snails but they just go with the territory anyway. As long as the bindweed, couchgrass, docks and nettles are kept in check I  don't care.

And I still have a Laura Ashley to go down.
