Did two trips to the tip this morning- the staff there are really helpful. Very different to the experience in Mk, though maybe that was because of lockdown. Cleared up where the rubbish had been and set off to Stamford in glorious sunshine- gorgeous and about time! Saw T in the very scenic car park (blip taken there) so we walked up to the restaurant together and had a very pleasant lunch and catch up. Journey home started well but hit ( not literally) a long queue of stationary traffic just after I left the A1. Eventually decided to turn round and find another route as we hardly moved in about 15 minutes. It was the right decision as I later found out that there had just been a big diesel spill and they closed the road. Got home about 45 minutes later than I should have done so could have been worse!
