Auction Booty

After an auction last week Mel and I both had some new stuff in the house today. I think these two Netsuke, added to my 5 or 6 already owned (much newer and made of wood) means I now have a 'collection'. I love how the undersides of these tiny pieces are also carved so beautifully (in the extras).

Also came away with some art deco bookends, but a French sculptor called Martin Font - probably made in the early 1930s (and practical in the office, as well as just generally being lovely, and from my favourite era of design).
