Homeward
Blipped this at about 8.45 this eve on the way back from Grimsby. The weather was 'exciting' to say the least; an ominous bank of black clouds, the wind very blustery, (but warm!) and spatterings of rain on the windscreen.
Spent the morning with lovely Jen candying grapefruit, oranges and lemons for a special order, then this afternoon guested at the Catering Faculty at Grimsby Institute. A great group of kids - we had a brilliant afternoon making truffles; what an honour! I hope they stay in touch.
Afterwards we popped for a drink with some old friends whom we haven't seen for a while. Lots of laughs , family stories and smiles catching up on the last couple of years.
A really nice day.
I hope our trees don't sustain any damage overnight.
Fingies and toeties crossed, hey.
