happy cupcake day!

today was my friend's 25th birthday, so she threw an all-girl cupcake and crepe party. i baked the cupcakes (see previous day's blip), and she provided the decorating supplies. prior to the cupcakes, we made crepes for breakfast because we met at 9 am.
if you're asking about the picture, yes, it is a cupcake, rather, two. i used two circle cookie cutters and used purple, pink and white fondant to decorate it. i used cream cheese frosting before putting on the fondant, which made it a bit messy. this was my first attempt at using fondant, and i think i'll want to use fondant again in the future, maybe even on bigger projects.
