Tulips

Day 1 of a holiday week in Stromness (well, it does seem to be the best place to be to bump into fellow blippers).

Lots of steps clocked up in the morning meandering round the town. Weather strange (but dry, at least). It was one of those days when one minute you are so glad of hat, woolly scarf and mittens and the next, you are removing all of the above and wishing you'd left them at home.

These splendid tulips are lighting up a corner of the George Mackay Brown Memorial garden.
