Nesting time.
This year there are two swans nests in a local dyke and as we went past on our way to a coastal walk this pair of mute swans were tidying the nest and having a quick morning preen before settling back on the eggs which are just visible. There are very few swallows and house martins and no swifts yet overhead but I am hoping this week more will arrive.
The sea buckthorn is coming out and there were whitethroats singing and a noisy grasshopper warbler!
