Star of Bethlehem

On our walk along the Swaby valley in Lincolnshire we saw several of these bright white flowers. they are also known as  ‘Betty go to bed at noon’  Shamefaced Maiden and Eleven o’clock lady because the flowers tend to close up by the middle of the day!  I don’t often see them round here in Lincolnshire so was very pleased to spot these on a verge. A lovely day today but having looked at the forecast I think today was a ‘flash in the pan!’
