Tulip

This exotic looking parrot tulip is Tulipa Rococo. It's certainly striking.

 We heard the first cuckoo calling on the hillside above the house today, the 1st May.

We had two small grandchildren to stay the night last night. They settled to sleep really well but I was woken up at 4am by the sound of tiny voices. I found them sitting on the elder's bed having a little chat and looking as if butter wouldn't melt. Tucking them back in earned me another hour of sleep but they were well and truly awake at 10 past 5 so an early night is on the cards for granny and grandpa.
