Life through the lens...

Tree peony.

We had some welcome rain during the night, but dare I say could do with more.

A visit to Tong Garden Centre after breakfast. Quite busy, but managed to park OK.
No doubt a lot of people in the cafe and children’s play area.
I did manage to get two alpines for the sink garden. Just need to find a way of keeping the wood pigeons and their big feet off it.

On the way back from the farm shop yesterday, I noticed that one of my favourite plants was flowering again, and covered in gorgeous blooms.
So after buying the plants I drove into the village to photograph the tree peony.
It was cut back two years ago, as it had grown too big, and this is the first year it has flowered since then.
I didn’t count them, but must be over twenty.

Mr C watching snooker at the moment, and I am off outside to put the plants in.
Hope you are enjoying Bank Holiday Sunday.
