Tranquil Ferocity

The is something quite mesmeric about flames. The shapes, the noises, the colours, the smell, the heat, the power and the capability.
On Monday this week I had a bonfire to light. An old pallet and some combustible clutter. As soon as it was lit I decided it would potentially make a nice abstract shot. I managed to get several and this blip just shows the wonderful array of colours and shapes. Unfortunately, photography has not managed to come up with a way of literally capturing the noises and smells but you can close your eyes and just imagine.
