The Forge
Driving home from an afternoon at the local south gare I happened upon this unusual sight of a torpedo tipping the molten iron and slag into waste ground. I could not resist.
Car parked and I gathered plenty of shots of quite a spectacular site. My immediate thought was one of this lot is a definite blip and with the recent publicity surrounding the re-igniting of the furnace (in the background), this blip was to be the one.
I hope you like this shot as much as I did taking it.
I even managed to strike a conversation with a rather nice chap from the area near Snowdonia, who was cycling by. He was in awe of the site and asked me what was happening and if I managed to get a few decent shots.
