How the other half lived

This weekend is a bank holiday here in the UK and the weather forecast for today was excellent, so of course you have to make the most of it!
We were going to Byland Abbey to make use of our English Heritage cards but instead we paid £19 a ticket to go round Castle Howard grounds and House. And what a stonking day it was. The house and gardens are amazing!
The only issue was having Brideshead revisited theme tune going round my head half the day!
Have put a lot in extras!!!

I absolutely love the stately homes and gardens but I can’t help but be appalled at the wealth of what one family has (and had) and the absolute privilege and arrogance that goes with such wealth.
