New recruit!

I feel sad that I haven't blipped for a few days, I don't even have photos to back blip with. Unfortunately sometimes life gets in the way of what we like to do! I've had a difficult week trying to sort some problems for mum, not all successfully. On top of these things mum is now coping with the death of her sister, her last remaining sibling. It is a happy release for my aunt now  free from pain and the many other ailments that were troubling her, but a sad loss for her loved ones. Mum is helping Mark, my aunts only child, to sort through what needs to be done. He is a perfectly capable man in his late fifties but mum still sees him as a boy of course, and wants to support him. There is an added complication in that my aunt never divorced her drunken husband. Despite having had no contact with him for the last fifty years he is still legally the next of kin! What a can of worms is now being opened!
I was talked into going to matting yesterday afternoon, despite just feeling like I wanted to curl up on the sofa and sleep! I'm pleased I did as my friends are so caring and made me feel heaps better. The gentleman in the photo is Graham. He has kindly been wood turning some tools of our trade for us, made from a staircase they have recently had changed. He is hoping he can also make us at least one new frame from it too. It was lovely to have him drop in to see us using the 'prodders'. We encouraged him to have a go, which he did,  and after appreciated why it took us so long to complete a mat!
It was a happy afternoon and I'm looking forward to a happy day today,  out to lunch with Val and Ruth and a mooch round Barnard Castle. I'll get my problem solving phone calls completed this morning so I can enjoy the rest of the day.
I have been reading others blips despite not blipping myself and that has been lovely. Hopefully I'll photograph something to blip from my trip today!
