I forgot.

I've been, slowly, turning the border "soil side up" as I once heard it put.  It wasn't just "the odd weed" I had to take up a sod, beat seven bells out of it and set it aside awaiting a further beating after it dried.
The beating took place on my "Anvil" - the trunk of a deceased small tree the second from right here.

I re-started today.  My Anvil was covered by a pile awaiting the next bashing.  Totally fogetting the Anvil, I used the piece of Tufa we'd had a tiny plant in for some years.   The result can be plainly seen?
