A new circular walk with Enzo today along the industrialised, "communicationalised"  section of the River Trent bank from Newark to the attractive village of Winthorpe. It traversed trunk roads the A1 and A46, railway lines the East Coast mainline (pictured) and the Lincoln to Nottingham line. Barges, birds (canada geese), a new (to me) lock and industrial areas also amongst the many items of interest. A brisk 4 miles to improve my fitness for a few days away soon too.
