Admiring the flowers at Haining Wood

This morning we took a short trip to Linlithgow to see if there were any grebes visible on the Loch. Sadly, it was a grebe-free zone. However, there was more to see (today’s extra), lambs, geese, ducklings and the old palace. This dated from the early 1400s and is once more fenced off for repair of that ancient masonry.
The next stop was Haining Wood and the bluebells. They are still not quite at their best, another week and some sunshine should do the trick. Chloe as ever was happy to pose.
Another rather cool day in the east wind and we did get a couple of un-forecast rain showers. It also looks like much the same for the next couple of weeks!
