2022 Sunday — Road Trip
At 6:00 a.m. we rolled away from our little coast cabin. We've been here since Sunday, March 27 . . . four weeks exactly. Long enough. It is time to check on family, friends, and property that are 4-hours away.
We left early early early to get thru the San Fernando Valley and the stretch of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena before the citizens of Los Angeles found their way to the freeways. AND we did it! Never had one section of highway that slowed.
We always thoroughly enjoy the scenery from Cayucos to Camarillo; we see the ranch lands, vineyards, and Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara and Ventura. Today the view was muted because of the current high surf which has increased the moisture in the air. Occasionally seeing the train is also fun.
Slightly after 10:00 we rolled into our driveway; a driveway that I've been looking at since 1963 when my parents purchased this place brand new. Being here is good. It's warmer and that's an adjustment, especially for our pups, Chloe & Mitzi. And the Santana winds are blowing mildly.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner with our daughter early this evening and then we headed home and she headed to her place.
From SoCal,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
