Flowering cherry

I walked past this on my way to sign on for next year’s U3A. I didn’t stay for the meeting afterwards as few of the old people wear masks, despite there being a lot of Covid in the village just now.

We used to have a gorgeous flowering cherry outside #2 daughter’s bedroom window when we lived in Suffolk but sadly had to give it the chop. The insurance said it was contributing to the subsidence of the house.

Mr C has been cleaning the car which got covered in gull poo when we were at Whitley Bay on Saturday. #2 daughter starts her Uni job today - more new systems to get to grips with, then back at her main new job tomorrow. Quite a challenge, two new jobs at once, but I think she was ready for it.

I’ve been trying out a few Iranian recipes from the internet recently and would like to do more but I prefer a proper cookbook. Any recommendations?
