Sweet sixteen
Here it is, the big reveal.
The 238 page “this is your life” photo book of Nana photos.
Gorgeous Ella turned 16 today, an Anzac Day baby. She had a very hurried and shaky start to life, emergency C-section, a tiny prem baby. And look at her now and what she has achieved throughout these years. So very proud of her. She absolutely loved the photo book I created for her, and I felt very proud as to what I had produced for her.
The day started for us at 5am, airport at 6am, arriving in Wellington at 8am. Picked up by the birthday girl and her Dad. Just of the griddle pancakes awaited us, along with a scrumptious fresh fruit salad, maple syrup and cream. Deliciousness!
Then present opening, so many beautiful gifts, and cards with such thoughtful words.
Mini golf followed, then back into the city for lunch…..the weather superb sitting outside in big low white chairs on the green lawns, wonderful time we all had.
Wellingtons waterfront is such an awesome place to wander and that is just what we did!
Back home to prepare the birthday dinner, with Lexi looking on via FaceTime as we did the prep while chatting. This went in for an hour and a half.
Ella’s other Grandad, and Auntie Vicki and Andy here for the celebration dinner. What a feast we had.
I’ve put a collage of some photos of Ella taken throughout the day, after all, the day is all about Ella…..take a look.
Rainie
