Blipmeet, Redwood City

If this looks familiar, it's because NHC blipped a similar view of the Kiki Smith installation in downtown Redwood City. I'm going to include her link to an explanation of the art work, which is a series of constellations embedded in her drawings of animals on acrylic panels. It is a shimmering wonder, first, the juxtapositions of bright blue creatures, then the reflections from the world outside, then the buildings and trees surrounding the area, people passing by, and sunlight and shadows. All of it a delight to sort through as you peer into the small glass room that contains it all. And don't overlook NHC herself, easily identified by her yellow camera case!  
We had a fine lunch and a little stroll through the main part of town, an excellent introduction to what the area has to offer.
