The Chocolate Café

On Thursday, J finally finished, with help from her PA M, her collage of the Chocolate Café, showing her favourite hot chocolate with whipped cream and a chocolate brownie served with a large, juicy strawberry. It's her second collage showing her favourite places in Folkestone, connecting with a writing activity she did back before Christmas with her creative writing group. The first in the series showed a large ice cream against the background of Sunny Sands; I see a theme emerging ... It's about A4 size and is made from ripped paper from old magazines. 

Friday was this week's movie night, and I chose "On the Basis of Sex", a biopic about US lawyer and supreme court judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg and her fight against the discrimination against women which was enshrined in law; it's currently on BBC iPlayer. I enjoyed it; J was interested in the earlier parts of the story, and outraged by the sexist comments and patronising attitudes, but struggled a bit to follow the legal arguments.
