Dandelions dancing in the sun!

The start of our walk to Portinscale to pick up the ferry round the lake! We made it to Nichol End only to be told it didn’t stop there any more! We loitered by the jetty and took some photographs and ate our sandwiches and then walked to Keswick to get food for today and tomorrow!

It was market day again and much more crowded than Thursday so we bought some sourdough bread in the market and retreated for a pick you up in the Wild Strawberry cafe where we had eaten on Thursday! There were no scones left so we had strawberry tarts which were very good! All made on the premises each day! Very crisp pastry delicious smooth custards delicious tasty strawberries! Highly recommend a visit to this place if you are in keswick!

Fortified we went to Booths for the remainder of the shopping and walked back! On the way we were amazed to see an oyster catcher in the meadow! We were blessed once again with lovely sunshine but a stiff easterly breeze so it was a jacket on and off day!
