Stage set

Went to the theatre tonight to see a play by the wampanoag First Nations tribe who were the group that greeted the pilgrim fathers when they arrived in America! The story not told in American history of the diseases that killed off 90% of the people and the clash of ideology over land rights and responsibilities and the writing out of First Nation history! It was very emotive and thought provoking! Ironic that those who went on the mayflower were escaping persecution and wanting to worship in their own way and then opened the way for the persecution of the First Nations and depriving them of their right to worship in their own way! Change happens slowly!
