Danish Air Transport

A chilly wind all day, mostly overcast and low cloud too.  On my way home, there was sunshine on the west coast.

Up early at 5am, early shift in the airport.  It's been a super busy day.  Three offshore helicopter flights to check-in first thing, and then off to meet and board flights.  I did a spell at the oil and gas flights, then to help with an international flight.  Various jobs about the check-in desk in the busy afternoon.  After two days off, it was the most Mondayiest Friday in a long time.  Watered the garden and greenhouse after tea, and then met friend Julie for a chilly walk.  Feet up, and an early night ahead.

We had a busy direct flight to and from Amsterdam, about lunchtime.  Danish Air Transport arrived in their ATR 72, which we have a few in our fleet.  I met the arriving passengers, and I also had to do Border Force UK checks, before allowing them into the country, scary stuff for a first time, but I had a helping hand from an officer.  Shame this link to Amsterdam wasn't a frequent trip, it sure would be a handy connection to have.  The DAT aircraft arrived at Sumburgh Airport (I was hoping it would have a fancy paint job).
