The other river

This river is a tributary of the main river in the village. It is amazing to think that the river can rise to the top the walls if there are several days of continuous heavy rain. The sun shone again today and the tennis courts began to dry out. I went down early to do some mopping up and we were able to play at 11am. I had to pop down to the dentist in the afternoon having forgotten that they would not be there next week. It was good to have a sunny day after so much rain but it may only be a temporary respite according to the weather forecast.
