Deep Purple

We're in Brisbane for the night, for a family visit. My sister-in-law is very fond of this orchid, which is in full flower right now. She says it thrives on neglect, lives outside under the frangipani tree, and flowers effortlessly like this once a year. 

From here we drive south, through the New England region and the central-west of NSW, to Canberra for 10 days. We're hoping to enjoy autumn weather and colours along the way.
