Pride!

This lion has stood in Birkmyre Park, Kilmacolm for time immemorial. When I was young he always reminded me of Aslan from the Magical The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, it was one of the books from childhood that really let my imagination run riot. I was a voracious reader, but with university just now reading takes on a totally new dimension until my finals in May, then hopefully a few months of reading for pleasure, I have a pile of books I want to read before my post grad starts, working full time and studying part time is an exhausting way to do it I wish I had done it as a younger man!

Sadly I cannot find out much about him but I adore him and love to sit and watch him as he surveys his plain and watches over the playing children. The twins as you can imagine love to climb onto his back and survey his world but that is a Blip for a summers night.
