Sunrise in the Lakes

This was the start of a beautiful day on which I swam at 07.45 in the little pool here and was shown a different style of sideways swimming! Not easy! A leisurely breakfast was followed by a walk via Portinscale to Keswick where it was market day, mostly crafts but some one cheese stall and a butchers stall where we bought venison haunch steak! (Fried over high heat and delicious with stir fry)

There was a chap selling bone China with a huge variety of designs and the factory had had the franchise for the queens golden and diamond jubilee and he had made some stuff for the current jubilee too. I bought a mug with robins on it!

Coffee and scones, cheese for Helen and rhubarb and ginger for me gave us the oomph to walk back again through the fields full of lambs and past the farm with the cows and calves!
