Population explosion

Suddenly the allotment is swarming with ladybirds - wasn't able to get an, erm, action shot like CarolineJay, but maybe these three were contemplating a menage a trois! They were sunning themselves in the deep hole that had been dug by the fox maybe. I sowed some more stuff - second sowing of broad beans, also cavalo nero and something called Shetland cabbage (a heritage variety). The leeks have failed to come up. :-(

D did a very long shift weeding the strawberry bed, and duly knackered himself.
