A watery landscape.
Yesterday we got up really early to drive down to Leverburgh and caught the ferry over to the neighbouring island of Berneray, and on down a chain of names known to me only from the weather forecast.
We drove down through North Uist across a causeway to South Uist and on down to Eriskay (best known from the film Whiskey Galore, when the boat SS Politician ran ashore carrying up to 24,000 bottles of whiskey - funnily enough never found!). If we had wanted go further we would have had to take another boat but that is for another time.
