Rainy day

It has been a day of finding things to do. We were promised a clearance in the morning which did not materialise so I cancelled the walk. Instead I spent the morning painting. It did stop raining at the end of the morning so I decided to go out for a quick walk but, at the furthest point, the rain started again so I got rather wet. I prepared the sourdough bake for tomorrow in the afternoon. I am always left with some sourdough starter and I thought there must be some way of using it rather than throwing it away as I usually do. I decided to try making wholemeal sourdough crumpets in the frying pan which seem to have worked reasonably well.
