I've been making hummus this morning. A process that takes two days using dried chickpeas. Ottolenghi's method involves roasting the peas after soaking and before boiling, this adds an extra depth and nuttiness. There is no comparison between shop bought and home made.The flat smells amazing.
Little Jacob is not averse to a few leftover crumbs from my sandwich.
