Probably the warmest day this year so far. The volunteers in the park have been charcoal making this weekend and have left the kiln to cool with the obligatory safety message. It was still slightly warm to the touch. The charcoal is made from hardwood felled in the park and bagged for selling to the public. It is some of the best charcoal I have used. It does n't need any lighter fuel or fire lighters to get going a few scrunched up bits of newspaper and it's away and hot in 15mins. Beats processed briquetts any day.
