EM8768 Needs explained

A week or so a go I was in the garden. There were two vans from Scottish Water parked in my layby. Men were wandering about with sticks prodded to the ground and putting their ears to the end (the upper end obvs). I deduced they were listening for something. I approached and asked if they were looking (listening) for leaks. They were. I directed them to a patch of ground several metres away and pointed out that the area had never been dry in years.

So tonight we have road works at the end of our drive (sounds posh but it is only where my land rover is allowed to quietly rust).

Hopefully the risk of a water borne lurgy will shortly be reduced.

Tomorrow…begin the search for a new car or take a mountain of rubbish to the tip state of the art recycling centre. Teaser alert! It could go either way.
