London - The Mass of Humanity and Lunch with Katy
Headed out after breakfast for our lunch with Katy, my niece at a great restaurant called St John Bread and Wine. We walked the couple of hundred yards to Effiingham Junction station and hopped on South West trains Waterloo train. Here we milled around with the masses of Saturday morning travelers - its like Covid never happened! Ate lunch, an assortment of plates we shared and then main course I had Ox Tongue and dessert was rice pudding with marmalade - washed down with a very good Sauvignon. Great to catch up with Katy, who is a chef and is moving to a very good Italian restaurant called Trullo in the next couple of weeks - we'll have to eat there next time we visit.
On returning, got to watch the next big match between the same teams on Mark's massive TV and delighted that this time Liverpool triumphed and earned a place in the FA Cup final. Having won the Carabao Cup they are now still in the 3 other major competitions and though its a tough assignment, could still yet be the first team ever to win all 4 major competitions.
Cheese and wine later and relaxing with our hosts - last night here before we venture down to the South East for our Eurotunnel trip to France and the Netherlands. Extra of L and K having lunch.
