Woodland

We had an interesting walk around Barkbooth Lot, a nature reserve run by the Cumbria Wildlife Trust. We had hoped to hear a cuckoo but no luck. But, we did see bilberry flowers - very attractive to bees, and many small bluebells which in a week are so, will create a blue carpet over the woodland floor. The impact of the severe storms a few months ago is very evident with many trees uprooted.
