Burgundy

A day to celebrate as I finally went to pick up my car, which had been in the garage for just over four weeks having its engine replaced (fortunately covered by Citroen Customer Care). All seems fine - I just hope that this is the last of its problems!

I did a food shop on my way home from the garage, and then spent the afternoon catching up on things around the house. The tulips in our garden have been particularly good this year, much better than the daffodils which were heavily attacked by slugs. This deep burgundy red cultivar looked beautiful with the late afternoon sun shining through it, especially against the bronze new growth of a peony.
