SILLY SATURDAY AT EASTER

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Well, what a day we had yesterday - you all knew it was Mr. HCB’s birthday when he celebrated being Four Score Years old.  We have to say we were a bit miffed that they didn’t take us with them to the Steakhouse because we would have loved to have seen all the lovely people there.

We understand that a great time was had by all and their lovely waitress, Annabel, even changed her shift time so that she could be there at lunchtime on Mr. HCB’s special day.  One of the chefs wrote “Happy Birthday” on a plate with a candle - how kind - and that wasn’t all - four of the waitresses and one waiter came and sang Happy Birthday to Mr. HCB - he was very touched.

When they got home, their lovely neighbours, Lynn and Mike, had been hard at work putting up banners and bunting and so that you can see all that want on, there is an extra photograph today and we understand there is a party this afternoon - and we will definitely be there!

We know that Mr. HCB was thrilled that so many of you wished him a Happy Birthday and he thanks you all very much for the kind comments, stars and hearts.  You are a wonderful bunch!  He had lots of cards and presents and everyone was very kind to him.

You can see from today’s shot that we were out very early doing our Easter Egg Hunt and Hoggy was thrilled to find the BIG Easter egg, although we all found Easter eggs of varying sizes, so no-one was left out, which is as it should be.  We think Admirer would have liked to join us - and there was a spare Easter egg!

We are all trying to be as good as we can because Mrs. HCB is going to visit her friend in North Yorkshire soon and says she can’t take us all, so it will depend on who has been the best behaved of the SSG when she comes to choose before she goes.  It will be very exciting because she is going on a long train journey, so watch this space to see who gets to go.

We wish you all a very Happy Easter and like you, we will be thinking of all those in the world for whom even Easter Sunday will be a very sad occasion.  We send our love to you all - we just have to hide our stash of Easter eggs, because you all know that Mrs. HCB is a chocoholic!  Mind you, we’re not saying much but we did notice when we came downstairs this morning that at least one Port bottle was empty, although Mr. and Mrs. HCB did have friends round last night!

P.S.  We are thinking today of our friend Deanna, who isn’t blipping at the moment, because she is poorly, but she always had wonderful little chicks in her Blips at Eastertime.  Get Well soon, Deanna, we miss you on Blip! xx
